Coaches set for LEP Youth Girls Footy

    Competition introduction session | Friday, February 15, Centenary Oval at 5:30pm

    All welcome, short introductory session to welcome players to the competition and give them a chance to meet the coaches, ask questions and have a kick. Registrations can also be made at the oval.

    The coaches for the 2019 LEP Youth Girls Football Competition have been set for each of the Under 18 and Under 15 sides. With the competition beginning Friday, February 22 at Centenary Oval.

    With 3 teams in both U18 and U15, there are two Port Lincoln based teams, the Bulldogs and the Kangaroos as well as the Cummins/Tumby Bay team CT Crows.

    The CT Crows are again under the supervision of Shane Masson. The CT Crows won both the U18 and U15 competitions in 2018 with strong matches in each round. With what is looking like strong teams again in 2019, the CT Crows may be hard to beat.

    The Port Lincoln teams have new coaches guiding them this year in both grades, with only one of last years U15 coaches continuing in his role.

    The U15 Bulldogs have Kade Dufek returning who will be joined by Kellie Symons to share the role this year. Kade has previously taken on coaching duties with Ty George in 2018.

    Also new to the competition in 2019, coaching the U15 Kangaroos is Georgina Shirley. passionate about football, she will bring energy to the Bulldogs team. Georgina will be supported by Sam Haskett, a current A Grade player for Marble Range FC.

    Looking to the U18 Port Lincoln teams we have two new coaches that should be valuable in providing guidance to their teams.

    Coaching the U18 Bulldogs is veteran coach Andy Page. Andy is a former Lincoln Districts coach who likes to win. He oversaw the 2018 Lincoln Districts Kinlough Cup championship team and has coached winning Kinlough Cup teams over 3 decades and is well known in EP footy.

    Finally, the U18 Kangaroos coach is Shaun Maxfield. A runner-up Mail Medalist in the PLFL and experienced A Grade footballer with the Wayback FC, Shaun is sure to be a valuable leader for the Kangaroos.
