LOWER EYRE PENINSULA YOUTH GIRLS FOOTBALL
The Lower Eyre Peninsula Youth Girls Football competition is set to kick off in February following the successful Crows Cup & Youth Girls Come & Try session held in Port Lincoln in September. The Come & Try session had over 80 registrations from the Lower Eyre Peninsula region and the aim is to have as many of the girls as possible transition into the Youth Girls competition.
Games will be held at Centenary Oval, Port Lincoln on Friday evenings from 5-7pm over a six week period and will incorporate music and reduced numbers on the field to add to the experience. Initial planning has concentrated on an U15 & U18 competition with a team in each age group established from the Tumby Bay/Cummins region as well.
To qualify for either the U18 or U15 competitions:
U18: turning 16, 17, 18 in 2018
U15: turning 13, 14, 15 in 2018
The competition will be managed by a subcommittee of the Port Lincoln Football League who will look to provide a pathway for all Girls interested in Australian Football including an AFL All Girls Auskick program for 5 – 11 year olds to be run from 4-5pm at Centenary Oval before each game of the Youth Girls Competition (Please visit plfl.com.au/lep-girls/girls-auskick/ to register for Auskick.).
Registration through Sports TG and the Port Lincoln Football League can be accessed bellow and is free for all participants (closes February 10 2018). Teams will then be formed based on registrations received for the competition. For further information please use the contact form or send an email to email@example.com
